Cisco works closely with trainers and veterinarians rehabilitating warmbloods as well as training colts and caring for retired horses at his ranch in Acton. He is available to work with individual member’s horses on problem solving, trail training, horsemanship and more. To schedule a training session please contact him at (661) 618-1115.
He grew up in Altadena riding his ponies and horses with the members of Rose Bowl Riders, working as a wrangler and then Assistant Director at neighboring Tom Sawyer Camps. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he participated in the “Thoroughbred Project”, made Campus Herdsman his senior year and graduated with a degree in Animal Science.
After graduating, he managed a cattle ranch on the central coast and from there was offered a position as a ranch manager in Argentina where he began training and showing Quarter Horses. He went on to open his own facility in Argentina after winning the National Reining Horse Championship with a 3 year old mare. He began starting and showing jumpers, dressage and sport horses which included marathon driving, polo ponies and gaited horses and also gave clinics on showing halter, trailering, starting colts and swimming horses.
In 2005, he was asked to design and build Centro Kawell, an equine rehabilitation center and hospital. After completion, he was made operations manager, administered therapies and trained horses to the Aquatred and swimming pool.
In 2012 he returned to the USA and started training colts and working with clients on problem horses as well as attending clinics on equine therapies – most involving the EPONA method of working with psychotherapy and horses.
